From our badminton school Nienke, Lisa, Jonathan and Esmeralda travelled to Limburg to join the 44th Rabobank Venlo Junior Master Gulicktoernooi 2017.

Nienke was ranked 1st in singles U15 and by wins on Lisa (3 games) and Susan she reached the finals in which she lost from Kirsten. In mixdoubles she played with Finn and got easily through the first round. Unfortunately in second round they had to play against a strong German couple and after a tough game they just lost with 28-26 in third game.

After winning her two games in the poule Lisa had back luck to play against Nienke in singles, but played well despite her loss. In doubles (with Celine) and mixdoubles (with Rowan) she just couldn’t reach the second round.

In singles Jonathan reached semi-finals in which he lost in 2 games from first-seeded Rens. In mixdoubles Jonathan and Rens fight theirselves till finals but lost in 3 games from the Dalm brothers. But Jonathan can be proud of his 2nd place!

Esmeralda played singles U11, but after an easy first win she lost from het first-seeded opponent Flora in 2 games. Playing with Meare in doubles she lost both her games. However another good experience for her at a Junior Master tournament!
